In the Central Business District there is plenty to keep you entertained. Hyde Park has a series of events including Sydney’s Biggest Backyard, ABC in the Park, Herefords Great Aussie BBQ, The Wine Garden, The BIG Telly, Kids Playground, Have A Go Sport, and Lord Mayor’s Citizenship Ceremony. With national sports stars, entertainment featuring Mental As Anything and Bananas in Pyjamas, a playground for the kids, there really is something for everyone. With the day festivities beginning at 10am, there are plenty of free activities to enjoy.
I know I’ll be checking out the local acts and sure to be having a taste of wine down there (fingers crossed the rain stays away!) so if you’re stuck for fun ways to enjoy the holiday, get your Aussie thongs on and join me at Hyde Park for the day.
