Hostec goes for gold in the Nissan/BRW Triathlon

On Sunday 18th April, 12 of our fit Hostec team members banded together in teams to compete in the Sydney Nissan/BRW Corporate Triathlon. Located at Mrs Macquaries Point, Hosteccompeted in a 400m swim, 10Km bike ride and 4Km run against over 4 000 others. With the sun shining bright in the early morning there was no shortage of excitement from all who were competing, and fellow Hostec team members also arrived to show their support. In its’ 23rd year the event is aimed to bring together team work, company pride while encouraging all to engage in a healthy lifestyle.

A big congratulations to all who got amongst the action – CEO Ian Wilson, Michelle, Andrew U, Andrew M, Remi, Nizam, Angus, James, Elissa, Luci, Tina and Tony and also thanks to those whose turned up early morning to show their support. Well done!

Congratulations to Judd and Nizam

Hostec yesterday had one of our fun and eventful team meetings held by CEO Ian Wilson and Managing Director Raman Nambiar. The afternoon was a success with two always important announcements brought to the team. A big congratulations to our IT Head of Department Judd Howie for receiving the Directors’ Choice award, which is given out just four times a year. And congratulations to our Employee of the month Nizam Shariff from Training Solutions, with special mention going to Andrea Rodriguez from Traineeships and Trish Fairbourn from the Academy.

Hostec celebrates the End of Year at the Slip Inn

Last Friday 11th December, 2009 saw the Hostec team come together to celebrate the end of the year. With plenty of festive cheer, CEO Ian Wilson and Managing Director Raman Namiar treated us all to a delicious lunch and drinks at the Slip Inn. At the beautiful Tuscanstyled courtyard, the team enjoyed a mixture of food from the pub and Thai menus that was available. Among the favourites were the salt + pepper calamari with garden salad, classic pad that chicken and the fillet of beef. It was a beautiful day as Hostec spent the afternoon smiling and catching up as a team. A big thanks to Ian and Raman for a terrific day.

Hostec would like to wish you a very safe and happy holiday over the silly season. May you  have a great end of year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2010.
