RSA Course Structure
The full-day RSA course that you will undertake will brief you according to the following criteria:
Introduction – The evolution of NSW liquor laws and the RSA:
Element 1 – Identifying the context of responsible service of alcohol
- This will address the social impact, growing concerns and the role of enforcing the law with regards to the consumption of alcohol.
Element 2 – The legislative framework for the responsible service of alcohol
- The legislative framework of the RSA certificate addresses mandatory requirements, legally bound obligations and disciplinary actions.
Element 3 – Identify the impact of alcohol abuse
- This element of the course will run you through the health impacts of excess alcohol consumption, the effects of alcohol on the body and the processes.
Element 4 – Strategies to prevent intoxication and under-age drinking
- This area of the course will address harm minimization and prevention strategies in order to moderate dangerous alcohol consumption.
